Local Attractions and access to London Whilst the farmhouse itself stands alone in its own grounds down a country lane, it is within easy reach of many local attractions and London. The nearby village of Merstham is known for antique shops, as are Bletchingly (5 miles), Dorking (10 miles) and Brasted (15 miles). A short drive away is historic Reigate, where visitors will find a fine selection of restaurants, bistros and pubs, most of which have been enjoyed and come highly recommended by ourselves!! Within an hour's drive are the beautiful castles and gardens of Hever and Leeds, the R.H.S. gardens at Wisley and several National Trust venues such as Chartwell (the home of Sir Winston Churchill), Polesden Lacey, Wakehurst, Headley Heath and Leith Hill. There's, also, a wealth of excellent golf courses in the area. Motorways M23 and M25 (London Orbital) are within a few minutes drive providing excellent access to Gatwick (approx. 20 minutes) and Heathrow (approx. 45 minutes) airports. Trains to London run from Merstham railway station every 30 minutes arriving in the centre 40 minutes later.
